We are committed to maintaining the highest safety and operational standards, and we are looking for an experienced and driven Director of Maintenance (DOM) to join our team.Position Overview:As the Director of Maintenance at Wings Air Helicopters, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations of our fleet of helicopters, ensuring that all aircraft are in optimal working condition and fully compliant with FAA Part 135 regulations. You will lead the maintenance department, manage a team of skilled technicians, and work closely with our operations and flight teams to ensure seamless, safe, and reliable service to our clients.Key Responsibilities:Oversee the daily maintenance operations for the fleet of helicopters, ensuring all inspections, repairs, and modifications are performed in compliance with FAA regulations and industry best practices.Develop and manage the maintenance schedule for all aircraft to ensure minimal downtime and maximum fleet availability.Ensure strict adherence to FAA Part 135 maintenance requirements and other regulatory bodies' guidelines.Supervise, mentor, and train a team of maintenance professionals and manage the maintenance department's budget.Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records and documentation for each aircraft in the fleet.Manage and coordinate the inspection, repair, and modification of helicopters, working closely with mechanics and third-party vendors.Serve as the primary point of contact for FAA inspections and audits, ensuring the company's maintenance programs are compliant at all times.Implement and maintain a strong safety culture, participating in regular safety meetings and ensuring safety protocols are followed.Stay up-to-date on industry trends, new technologies, and changes in regulations that may impact the company's maintenance operations.Qualifications:An FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license is required.At least 5 years of experience in aviation maintenance, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role (preferably within Part 135 operations).Proven experience with helicopter models such as Airbus H125, AS355, and Robinson R44, or other similar aircraft.Strong knowledge of FAA Part 135 regulations, including maintenance and operational requirements.Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure, dynamic environment.Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Prior experience managing maintenance teams and coordinating aircraft availability.Helicopter-specific training and certifications (e.g., Robinson R44, Airbus H125/AS355/AS350) are preferred.US Citizen (or valid work permit), valid driver's license, and ability to pass background checks.Why Join Wings Air Helicopters?Competitive salary and benefits package.Health insurance options and paid time off.Opportunities for career growth and professional development.Dynamic and supportive work environment.Work with an experienced and dedicated team committed to safety and excellence.Wings Air Helicopters is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
