Monumental Labs, a venture-backed company, is building robotic stone-carving factories to unleash a renaissance in art and architecture. We're growing rapidly and building a state-of-the-art stone carving facility in NYC.
We're seeking an experienced and dynamic Manufacturing Director to oversee daily operations, and to manage the initial set up of the facility. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing large-scale manufacturing operations, particularly those involving advanced CNC technology.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the daily operations of our production facility, including ten 7-axis CNC robots dedicated to stone carving and various other CNC machines.
- Develop and implement efficient production schedules to meet project deadlines and client expectations.
- Manage and optimize workflow processes to ensure maximum productivity and quality output.
- Coordinate with client managers, artistic directors, digital fabricators, and stone carvers to ensure seamless execution of projects.
- Monitor and maintain equipment performance, scheduling regular maintenance and upgrades as needed.
- Lead and mentor a team of skilled technicians and operators.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and quality control measures.
- Analyze production data and key performance indicators to drive continuous improvement.
- Manage inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure uninterrupted production.
- Aid in the design of the initial setup of our facility, and oversee the setup.
Qualifications:- Experience in a senior production management role.
- Proven experience managing large-scale operations involving CNC technology. Stone fabrication experience is a plus, but not necessary.
- Excellent project management skills with a track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience managing and developing teams
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make data-driven decisions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
