Full-time

Our client, a multidisciplinary consulting firm in Hudson Valley, New York, is currently seeking a full-time Director of Marketing and Business Development.

The Director will report to the President and work closely with senior leadership to lead the company's marketing and business development initiatives. This position is ideal for candidates who have an existing network of contacts to draw upon within the Hudson Valley, along with extensive experience in generating results for an established organization. In this key management role, the Director will have the following responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement marketing and business development plans that support the firm's strategic plan, market segments and service line business plans.
  • Assist in serving a variety of market segments, including land surveying and development, land planning, landscape architecture, environmental health and safety services, as well as governmental, institutional and industrial clients.
  • Create, manage and implement a marketing budget.
  • Lead, manage and motivate a team of professionals.
  • Plan, implement and manage all business development functions, including sales support, speaking opportunities, conferences and promotional events, attending conferences, trade shows and other events as needed. Develop, manage and contribute to proposals as well as conduct a final review of completed proposals.
  • Manage the firm's public relations, branding efforts and marketing communications, including marketing collateral, brochures, graphic design operations, corporate advertising, project write-ups, and Web and social media presence.
  • To qualify for the Director role, you must have:

  • At least 10 years of marketing experience in the A/E industry.
  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in marketing, business, engineering or a related technical field.
  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal, creative and writing skills.
  • Strong organization and management skills; team player adept at working in a mutually respectful environment.
  • External network of contacts and professional relationships in the Hudson Valley is a plus.
  • Proven track record of creating and implementing marketing and business development plans that have generated measurable results contributing to an organization's overall strategic plan.
  • Ability to travel regularly to various events, offices and appointments.
