Already in the eight digits sales figure, the company has consistently achieved a growth rate of 30-40% annually. Their products are distributed through a DTC website, Amazon, and a network of high-end beauty salons.
Objective of the Role The Director of Marketing will be the driving force behind our client's marketing strategy, overseeing product development, operational marketing, and agency management. The goal is to maintain the upward trajectory of growth by innovating in product offerings and enhancing brand presence across all channels.
Ideal Profile The ideal candidate will be a seasoned marketing executive with a robust background in the beauty industry. Preferably, this experience includes tenure with a large beauty conglomerate such as L'Oreal or Estee Lauder, coupled with a proven track record of entrepreneurial success. This role requires relocation to Chandler, AZ, as our client values hands-on leadership and in-person collaboration.
Responsibilities - Lead and develop a lean marketing team with four direct reports, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
- Manage relationships with three external agencies specializing in creative, public relations, and performance marketing, ensuring brand consistency and message alignment.
- Drive the product development process from concept to market launch, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver products that meet consumer needs and exceed market expectations.
- Craft and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy that encompasses digital, e-commerce, and in-person sales channels.
- Monitor market trends and perform competitive analyses to identify opportunities for growth and expansion.
- Manage the marketing budget effectively, ensuring optimal allocation of resources for maximum impact and ROI.
- Establish KPIs and use data-driven insights to guide strategic decisions and measure performance against company goals.
Requirements - A minimum of 10 years of marketing experience in the beauty industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- A history of successful product launches and marketing campaigns in the beauty sector.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with product development teams and external agencies.
- Strong entrepreneurial background with experience scaling a business or product line.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field; an MBA is preferred.
- Willingness to relocate to the Chandler, AZ area and work on-site; this position does not offer remote work options.
