A leading pharmaceutical client is hiring a for a Director of their Materials Science group in order to design, characterize, and develop drugs from discovery to clinical trial. As a Director in the Materials Science group you will lead a team of 5 pre-formulation scientists to assess chemical and physical properties of the newest drug candidates. On a daily basis you will develop scientists and guide them to solve technical problems. You will share and present on knowledge of solid-state chemistry, pre-formulation, and computational chemistry. Required Skills & ExperiencePhD in Pharmaceutics, Chemistry or Chemical Engineering10+ years of pharmaceutical industry experienceExperience working within solid-state chemistry, pre-formulation, and computational chemistryExtensive practical experience working within cross-disciplinary project teams and achieving results in a matrix environmentExperience in actively developing and advancing scientific initiatives and external collaborationsExperience mentoring and coaching early and mid-career scientistsExcellent organizational and verbal/written communication skills Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
