As the Director of Med Surgical, you will oversee the operations and management of the medical-surgical unit, ensuring high-quality patient care and effective team leadership. Job specification - Manage and supervise the daily operations of the Medical-Surgical unit, including staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Provide leadership and direction to nursing staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Develop and implement patient care policies and procedures based on evidence-based practice and regulatory standards.
- Monitor and evaluate patient outcomes, ensuring adherence to treatment plans and quality standards.
- Collaborate with physicians, healthcare providers, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and enhance patient outcomes.
- Participate in budget planning and management, ensuring efficient use of resources and cost-effective practices.
Candidate requirements - Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) is required.
- Certification in Medical-Surgical Nursing (CMSRN) preferred.
- 3-5 years of RN experience in a Med Surgical setting.
- BCLS certification is required within 30 days of hire; ACLS certification must be obtained within 6 months.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
