We're seeking a dynamic Director of Catered Living and Memory Care to lead the operations of a highly regarded senior living community in Urbana, Illinois. This position ensures the highest standards of resident care, staff management, budgeting, and regulatory compliance.
Position Summary: The Director will oversee the operation of our brand new Catered Living and Memory Care community, providing exceptional care and creating a supportive environment for residents with and without memory care needs. You'll be responsible for staff leadership, budget management, compliance, and designing programs that enhance residents' quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Staffing & Budgeting: Ensure adequate staff coverage and manage the department within budget.
- Resident Care: Oversee the development and implementation of individualized care plans, particularly for memory care residents.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all State and Federal regulations for catered living and memory care services.
- Leadership: Lead, mentor, and coach staff, including RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and Resident Assistants, providing clear communication and direction.
- Memory Care Programs: Design and implement memory care programs that enhance the quality of life for residents with dementia.
- Community Relations: Represent the facility in community events, assist with marketing strategies, and build strong relationships with residents and families.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of two years' experience in a leadership role within a healthcare organization.
- Strong understanding of dementia-related conditions and care strategies (certification in dementia care preferred).
- Bachelor's degree in nursing, social work, healthcare administration, or related field, or equivalent professional experience in a leadership role.
- Familiarity with operational, financial, quality assurance, and human resource procedures and regulations.
- Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint).
- Licensed Registered Nurse (preferred but not required).
