Job Description UNRL is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Product Development to lead our PD Team. You will be responsible for driving the product development strategy, overseeing the design and production process, and ensuring the on-time delivery of high-quality apparel that aligns with our brand's vision and market demands. Your objective is to supervise and lead our Product Development team to innovate and develop cutting edge products that set UNRL apart from the competition. The ideal candidate is someone with excellent leadership and project management skills who is deadline-driven with strong attention to detail. Responsibilities
    • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement product development strategies to create innovative and market-leading apparel collections.
    • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of designers, product developers, and technical staff to achieve peak performance.
    • Timeline Management: Establish clear timelines and manage each development end-to-end to ensure development deadlines are met.
    • Project Management: Track each development and communicate status updates internally; Oversee PD team to prioritize tasks to ensure efficiency and on-time completion
    • Commercialization: Work closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, sales, and supply chain to ensure cohesive product development and successful product launches.
    • Quality Assurance: Ensure all products meet quality, budget, and timeline specifications; Maintaining high standards of craftsmanship and industry-leading quality.
    • Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire product lifecycle from concept to production through closeout - ensuring seamless execution through every stage.
    • Budget & Margin Management: Manage the product development budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources while maintaining high-quality standards.
    • Market Research: Conduct market analysis to identify emerging trends, consumer needs, and competitive landscapes.
    Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Merchandising, Business, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
    • Minimum of 8 years of experience in product development or related roles within the clothing/apparel industry.
    • Minimum of 4 years of experience in project management with a proven track record of leading successful product development projects.
    • Minimum of 3 years of supervising and leading a team.
    • Strong understanding of fashion trends, textile, and garment manufacturing processes.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and delegation skills.
    • Certifications in project management are a bonus.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
    • Passion for sport and athleisure apparel is preferred.
