Description:

With direction from the Pastor and the Chief of Staff, the Director is responsible for assisting the Pastor with overall management of ministry programs ensuring everyone in the parish encounters Jesus Christ and deepens their commitment to Him and His Church.

Working in close collaboration with the Pastor, Chief of Staff, and Department Directors, the Director is responsible for day-to-day management, coordination, and execution of tasks of the ministries at Saint Clement. The Director coordinates and directs the work of the staff involved and volunteers in ministry-related work and tracks progress, communicates updates to all appropriate partners, helps resolve issues, and ensures the Ministry teams have access to adequate resources.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures successful execution of strategic plan as it applies to all ministry-related goals.
  • Serves as a coach for others on the team and is considered credible with acknowledged expertise in their field, able to offer high-value insights.
  • Provides strategic and planning assistance to all Ministry staff and volunteers.
  • Coordinates and implements leadership programs.
  • Coordinates division of work, resources, and planning for the department.
  • Develops relationships with the Saint Clement Staff, Pastoral Council, and lay leaders of ministry teams. Ensures an effective flow of information and the leveraging of ideas and resources.
  • Is responsible for all formation & leadership courses.
  • Supports the Men's Executive Series and Lydia Institute's Collaboration.
  • Supports and ensures high-quality Sunday experience.
  • Follows Archdiocesan policies, regulations, and budget guidelines.
  • Increases skills and knowledge through continuing education, attending conferences, and reading appropriate literature.
  • All other responsibilities as assigned.
  • Requirements:
  • Master's Degree in Theology, Pastoral Studies, Faith Formation, or equivalent.
  • Previous experience leading a parish faith formation program.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with clergy, staff, parish leaders, and volunteers.
  • Practicing Catholic with understanding and support for Catholic Church teaching, mission, and values.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, collaborative, faithful, joyful witness, persistent, available, fair and balanced, dependable, person of integrity, sensitive to cultural, racial, and ethnic diversity, and openness to the needs of the parishioners.
  • Ability to deal with multiple projects, flexible, sound judgment, and comfortable with change.
  • Available to work evenings and weekends when necessary.
  • Comprehensive vision and understanding of lifelong formation and evangelization.
  • Fluent in related Church documents, especially national and local.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with technology used for communicating and presenting.
