We plan to begin offering a BS in Civil Engineering and an MS in Engineering Management in Fall 2025, with more undergraduate and graduate programs planned over the next few years. The School of Engineering resides in the new CollegeTowne campus in downtown Reading, Pennsylvania. This 250,000 ft2 building houses the engineering, business, and health science programs and is minutes from the main campus. Job SummaryAlvernia University's School of Engineering invites applications for the Director of the Master of Science in Engineering Management program to start in the Spring, Summer, or Fall of 2025. Candidates must (1) hold an MS or Ph.D. degree in Engineering Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline by their start date, (2) have a commitment to undergraduate and graduate education, and (3) demonstrate the potential to educate students and mentor adjunct faculty. This position has both administrative and teaching responsibilities. The Director will develop and maintain curriculum and courses, ensure the program's quality, recruit students, interact with industry partners, supervise Capstone projects, hire and manage adjunct faculty, and help prepare for and maintain accreditation. They will also teach graduate-level courses in the Engineering Management program and serve on Department, College, and University committees as part of the position. The candidate will become an integral part of expanding the undergraduate and graduate offerings of the School of Engineering over the next several years. The ideal candidate will have experience (1) teaching asynchronous- and synchronous online courses, (2) recruiting graduate students, (3) developing graduate programs, (4) preparing for accreditation, and (5) developing adjunct faculty.The position is located in Reading, Pennsylvania, but a hybrid or remote position may be possible.
