EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
• Associate Degree in information technology field required.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience managing enterprise networks and firewalls.
• Familiarity with routing protocols such as RIP, IGRP, OSPF, and BGP.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Duties the employee is required to perform that have a major impact on the delivery of services to our clientele:
• Consulting with software and hardware vendors and other establishment workers to solve problems impeding network access.
• Meeting with IT directors to determine quality of service and identify needs.
• Design, implement, support, and manage the health system's network and firewall infrastructure.
• Management of the TCP/IP resources.
• Provide network support to affiliate IT department staff.
• Ensure all network equipment and security settings are maintained as specified by Policy.
• Monitor and report on network activity.
• Maintain backups of all equipment as defined by Policy.
• Maintain BCP Plans on all equipment as defined by Policy.
• Create and maintain internal procedures for the deployment and support of the health system's network equipment.
• Create and maintain documentation on solutions to known issues for technical staff.
• Participating in strategic planning related to the organization's information technology infrastructure.
• Managing related projects and adhering to budget constraints.
• Coordinate with vendors to identify solutions and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Managing help desk tickets and documenting resolutions in tickets as per Policy.
• Maintain system assets as prescribed by policy.
• Manage system asset lifecycles.
• Performing IT compliance audits to ensure IT directors are adhering to IT Policies.
• Assisting with the affiliate IT support and supervising 1 helpdesk staff.
