You would be responsible for direct patient care and conducting supervisory visits as needed.The DON has overall responsibility for the quality, adequacy of services provided and supervision of field staff including CHHAs & Nurses. Develops, recommends, and administers agency policies and procedures.* Supervises, educates and coaches other nursing personnel/care-giving staff. Conducts performance reviews for field staff.* Plans and implements in-service and training programs.* Oversees the maintenance of client clinical records, statistics, reports and records for purposes of evaluation and reporting of organization activities.* Delivers clinical orientation to all new hires.* Assures proper maintenance of clinical records in compliance with local, state and federal laws.* Responsible for maintaining Joint Commission Standards. Compiling and maintaining data/files for Joint Commission surveys. Act as the primary point of contact for the office during Joint Commission surveys.* Responsible for evaluation and approval of monthly audits of client files, using the company provided audit forms.* Stays informed about changes in the field of nursing and home health care. Shares information with appropriate organization personnel.* Ongoing assessment, skill and competency review of the care staff to ensure quality care and high level of performance.* Promotes home health referrals in the health care community._*The Director of Nursing (DON) Requirements/Qualifications:*_* Current unrestricted NJ Registered Nurse (RN) license* Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
