_*Summary*_A growing homecare agency located in Union County NJ, that is part of national home care network, is seeking a high-energy, self-driven Registered Nurse to fill our Director of Nursing (DON) position. You would be responsible for direct patient care and conducting supervisory visits as needed.The DON has overall responsibility for the quality, adequacy of services provided and supervision of field staff including CHHAs & Nurses. You will work closely with other members of the leadership team to establish, implement and evaluate the goals and objectives for home health care services that meet and promote the highest standard of care.Must be willing to travel to our client's homes, located in Union County.*Experience working in home care is a huge plus.*_*The Director of Nursing (DON) will enjoy the following benefits:*_* Bonus opportunities* Competitive Weekly pay with direct deposit* Generous Paid Time Off* National and local corporate training programs* Mileage and travel expense reimbursement* Work with a friendly supportive team* Working for a Joint Commission accredited agency_*The Director of Nursing (DON) Job duties include:*_* Provides care as defined within the scope of the state's nurse practice act.* Makes the initial evaluation visit and regularly re-evaluates the client's nursing needs.* Prepares and reviews clinical and progress notes and summaries of care.* Delivers superior hands on patient care - conducting initial assessments, performing infusions, injections, etc. You may also fill in if other team members call out for their shift.* Assists in the development of organization goals. Develops, recommends, and administers agency policies and procedures.* Supervises, educates and coaches other nursing personnel/care-giving staff. Conducts performance reviews for field staff.* Plans and implements in-service and training programs.* Oversees the maintenance of client clinical records, statistics, reports and records for purposes of evaluation and reporting of organization activities.* Delivers clinical orientation to all new hires.* Assures proper maintenance of clinical records in compliance with local, state and federal laws.* Responsible for maintaining Joint Commission Standards. Compiling and maintaining data/files for Joint Commission surveys. Act as the primary point of contact for the office during Joint Commission surveys.* Responsible for evaluation and approval of monthly audits of client files, using the company provided audit forms.* Stays informed about changes in the field of nursing and home health care. Shares information with appropriate organization personnel.* Ongoing assessment, skill and competency review of the care staff to ensure quality care and high level of performance.* Promotes home health referrals in the health care community._*The Director of Nursing (DON) Requirements/Qualifications:*_* Current unrestricted NJ Registered Nurse (RN) license* Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
