A Skilled Nursing Facility is hiring a Director of Nursing (DON) in Rockland County, NY.Key Responsibilities:Lead and supervise the nursing team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.Develop, implement, and periodically update nursing policies and procedures.Manage the recruitment process for nursing staff, and ensure ongoing staff training and development.Maintain appropriate staffing levels, ensuring the team is skilled and fully equipped to meet residents' needs.Monitor and evaluate staff performance, ensuring compliance with professional standards.Stay informed of all facility-related incidents and provide guidance as needed.Conduct comprehensive assessments of each resident's health needs and coordinate appropriate care plans.Qualifications:Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.At least 5 years of experience in long-term care settings.Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role.Proven ability to lead teams and manage nursing staff with effectiveness and empathy.If you're passionate about advancing patient care and thrive in a leadership environment, we'd love to hear from you!.
