The Director of Nursing, Education Program will have a dual reporting structure, between the local college and the School of Nursing. This role will oversee clinical educators and collaborate closely with academic leaders, nursing department heads, and clinical staff to ensure the successful implementation and sustainability of the Dedicated Education Unit (DEU) model.

The focus of this role is on the integration of academic and clinical nursing education. The Nursing Educator Director will work within a dynamic, fast-paced environment, engaging with both nursing faculty and professional nursing staff to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world practice. The DEU model aims to enhance nursing students' clinical experience by immersing them in patient care, and working alongside experienced nurses within the medical center's inpatient units.

The Nursing Educator Director will lead the development and implementation of the DEU model, ensuring alignment with both academic and clinical objectives. This role will involve mentoring nursing educators and clinical staff, fostering professional development, and ensuring that the DEU meets the educational needs of nursing students. Administratively, the Director will manage budgets, staffing, and operations related to the DEU, while also maintaining strong relationships with faculty, clinical staff, and leadership to support the continuous improvement of the program.
