Director of Nursing Opportunity
Columbus Behavioral Center for Children and Adolescents provides mental health services to boys and girls ages 8 to 18. Located in the greater Columbus, Indiana area, our 56-bed facility provides support to each child and teen that walks through the doors. We work with the resident, their family, and community partners to promote a smooth transition back into the home or, if necessary, an additional appropriate level of care.
The trained professionals at our center provide safe and individualized treatment goals for each patient. Our Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) increases the development of behavioral skills that can help patients build relationships, manage emotions, and cope more effectively with various life problems. In addition, our residential treatment program offers a balance of therapy, education, and fun activities in a safe, structured setting. We focus on the needs and safety of our patients with 24-hour licensed staff supervision, which includes registered nurses.
The National Action Alliance for Suicide Prevention (Action Alliance), a public-private partnership, has partnered with Columbus Behavioral Center for Children and Adolescents, to strengthen the country's clinical capacity to provide innovative suicide prevention and care. The partnership significantly advances one of the central priorities of the Action Alliance—to transform health systems and reduce suicides—and marks Columbus Behavioral Center for Children and Adolescents' commitment to be at the leading edge of the transformation.

The Director of Nursing is a key member of the Senior Leadership Team who will integrate and coordinate a patient centric nursing strategy with a keen focus on patient care; ensuring that delivery of high-quality and cost-effective health care is consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Universal Health Services and in accordance with government regulation, licensing and accreditation requirements. The DON participates in the hospital's strategic planning and contributes to the achievement of institutional goals and objectives.
