Spherion Staffing is interviewing candidates for a Director of Nursing position in the Miller, SD area. The Director of Nursing is responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction to the nursing department within the healthcare facility. They oversee all aspects of nursing operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care in compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.In this role, you will work in close alignment with the Chief Nursing Officer to ensure patient safety, quality of care and exceptional customer service across the continuum of care.This role plays as a key partner with the Chief Nursing Officer on strategic planning, innovation, and to identify and respond to the needs of our communities and the patients being served. This position will have direct oversight over multiple departments and hospital services as well as project management and operational support for the nursing division.This position will be held accountable for complying with all related laws, regulations, company policies and procedures pertaining to his or her position and for fulfilling his or her obligations under the Facilities Corporate Compliance Program.Schedule: 8am-4:30pmPay: $38.00-63.00 hourly, DOE +Sign on bonusRelocation Options Available for Eligible CandidatesResponsibilities:-Formulate and work within annual budget; recruits, hires, and staffs work area at appropriate levels by utilizing scheduling system accurately- Ensuring Plan of Care is in compliance according to State and Federal Regulations, Location Procedures or Guidelines, and Facility Policies are being followed-Acquire resources and means that promote a quality work environment; ensure quality performance and conformance with regulation and laws-Participate in state and/or federal nursing home survey process; writes any resultant plan of correction (POC) and ensures it is carried out-Participate in the QA/CQI process- Maintain medical documentation as well as communication with residents and family members-Responsible to lead the management and monitoring/auditing of the EMR in the location; to include training, documentation, reports/dashboards and retrieval management and monitoring/auditing-Exercise sound judgment and decision-making-Promote cooperative working relationships within and between departments-Perform/assign completion of pre-admission assessment on a timely basis-Assure plan of care and interventions are evaluated for effectiveness on an ongoing basis and adjusted and updated accordingly-Assure residents are offered choices in their care and other decisions -Assure residents are free of neglect or abuse-Immediately report any concerns related to resident rights and resident abuse or neglect in accordance with facility policy and procedure-Assure physicians are notified of change in condition / request and orders are processed on a timely basis-Maintain thorough and accurate records for each resident-Ensure staff is appropriately trained and adequately utilizing the scheduling system-Participate in location care conferences, special events and task forces-Report/assure appropriate action on any physical or emotional problems/concerns from observation or residents??? reportWorking hours: Various Shifts AvailableSkills:-Supervisory experience is preferredEducation:BachelorsExperience:4-7 yearsQualifications:-Long Term Care experience as Director of Nursing-Graduate of an accredited school of nursing-Minimum of 5 years as a RN required-Registered nurse licensure for state of practice is required- Must be unencumbered-Registered nurse licensure for state of practice is required-Active CPR/BLS-Knowledge of basic nursing skills; knowledge and familiarity with the therapeutic effects and side effects of all medications administeredTo be considered, please apply online at www.spherion.com/applyIf you have any questions please contact Jovita Smith at ...@spherion.comSpherion has helped thousands of people just like you find work happiness!
