Director of Nursing Services (DON) Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to;•Ultimate responsibility for the delivery of resident care and may need to provide clinical coverage during off hours, on weekends or other times as necessary.•Developing methods for coordinating nursing services with other resident services to ensure the continuity of the residents' total regimen of care•Share on call responsibility with other nurse managers•Assume responsibility of facility during Administrator absence•Conduct daily clinical rounds•Oversee care planning process, admission/discharge process and RAI process•Actively address QI and SOC issues, incorporate into the CQI process, ensure implementation of correction plans and monitor resultsRequirements•Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing•Must possess and maintain a current Registered Nurse license from the State of New Hampshire and be in good standing with the NH Board of Nursing•Must have at least two years' recent experience in long-term care nursing and at least one year as a supervisor •Knowledge of PPS/MDS, Medicare and Medicaid regulations and standards as well as geriatric nursingAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex or national origin, marital or familial status, age or mental or physical handicap.
