Job DescriptionThis is a full-time position working M-F, 8am-4:30pm. Weekly earned wages is an option for this position.Job Purpose or Objective(s): The Director of Nutrition Services oversees nutrition services for ambulatory clinics and hospital programs to maintain and improve the nutritional health status of patients receiving our services. You will report to the Senior Director.Primary Tasks:1. Coordinate the operational, financial, clinical, quality improvement, and personnel activities for the Nutrition Department.2. Manage the development and implementation plan for nutrition interventions in accordance with the Nutrition Care Process.3. Demonstrate and encourage quality, person-centered medical nutrition therapy (MNT) for the whole individual using the Nutrition Care Process.4. Collaborate with medical and dietary staff to ensure conformance to prescribed nutrition care orders.5. Manage compliance with therapy billing requirements within the Nutrition Department for Choctaw Nation Health Services Authority (CNHSA).6. Monitor work to ensure that policies and procedures are upheld.7. Provide documentation that summarizes the nutrition care plan in a patient's medical record, including nutrition assessment, diagnosis, interventions, and progress towards goals.8. Consult with external dietary departments in Talihina such as Ironroad Caf, Chi Hullo Li, and the Men's Recovery Center.9. Oversee community nutrition classes held at locations around Choctaw Nation.10. Perform other responsibilities as may be assigned.Required Education, Skills and Experience:MINIMUM•Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university•Completed a didactic program in dietetics accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education (CADE)•Licensed Dietitian in the state of Oklahoma or become licensed within 90 days of employment•Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registrations (CDR)•Four (4) years of supervisory experience in administrative and clinical dieteticsTARGET•Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university•Completed a didactic program in dietetics accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education (CADE)•Licensed Dietitian in the state ofOklahoma•Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registrations (CDR)•Six (6) years of supervisory experience in administrative and clinical dietetics
