The role of Director of Operations will create business improvements to maximize profit and improve the service and delivery levels to our customers. In this role, you will oversee a dynamic global supply chain to deliver excellence to the client's organization's priorities. This is a key leadership position in the organization and will report to CEO.Essential functions:- Establish a motivating environment and develop the talent and skills of managers and other employees by offering training opportunities to increase the bench strength (specifically, this position has 2-4 direct reports in-house)- Assist in development of long and short-range planning, policies, programs, and objectives related to global supply chain management; the current supply chain includes 15 factories, 2-4 transit service providers for inbound and outbound shipping, and 2 domestic warehouses) - Build processes that improve productivity, reduce cost, and reduce avoidable errors- Prioritize initiatives that will have the largest effect on the client and its customers and partners- Collaborate with C level in the development an annual operating budget and manage a system of controls (inclusive of KPIs and SLAs) to ensure that service levels and operational performance goals are met- Identify competitive strategies and evaluate, adjust, or redraft the organization's operation processes accordingly ensuring thorough communication of imperatives and action items to the team- Investigate root causes and work with cross-functional areas to provide analysis and recommendations for business operations improvement.- Develop operating, purchasing and capital budgets and re-allocate resources on an on-going basis to optimize use of available resourcesCurrent budgets are $50 million purchasing including inbound transit with 15-20 different vendors, $3 million outsourced warehousing with 2 different vendors, and $3 million outbound transit costs with 2-3 different vendors.Full benefits, 401K matching, informal bonuses, and profit sharing.
