We provide comprehensive training solutions that ensure the readiness and effectiveness of military personnel worldwide.Position Overview: Hatalom Corporation is seeking an experienced Director of Operations to join our team. The Director of Operations will oversee the organization's ongoing operations and procedures, ensuring all field teams follow policies and procedures. This role requires extensive Program Management experience in the DoD Simulation and Training Industry, including managing efforts in software & courseware development, part task trainers & electronic classrooms development and installation, sustainment, instructor services, and operations and maintenance (O&M) of simulators.Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage program operations, including software & courseware development, part task trainers & electronic classrooms development and installation, and O&M and sustainment of simulators.
  • Establish quantitative and qualitative metrics, guidelines, and standards by which the company's efficiency and effectiveness can be evaluated; identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Review, analyze, and evaluate customer contract procedures and Government CDRLs (Contract Data Requirements Lists) in support of your PMs and Task Order Managers.
  • Implement policies and procedures that will improve day-to-day field operations.
  • Ensure work environments are adequate and safe.
  • Plan, direct, control, implement, evaluate, monitor, and forecast budgets and costs for each site to achieve financial objectives.
  • Conduct monthly Program Management Reviews (PMRs) with Program Managers, and brief executive management on program operational and financial health on a quarterly basis.
  • Communicate and explain new directives, policies, or procedures to task order managers; for major changes, meet with entire operations staff to explain changes, answer questions, and maintain morale.
  • Improve customer service and satisfaction through policy and procedural changes.
  • Lead coordination and integration of efforts among field operations, engineering, technology, and customer service to produce smoother workflow and more cost-effective business processes.
  • Project a positive image of the organization to employees, customers, industry, and community.
  • Conduct performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
  • Handle discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
  • Mentor and develop new and seasoned Program Managers, fostering a proactive and growth-oriented team environment.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Program Management within the DoD Simulation and Training Industry.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale programs, including software & courseware development, part task trainers, electronic classrooms, instructor services, and O&M and sustainment of simulators.
  • Thorough understanding of practices and policies involved in statements of work and Government CDRLs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent managerial and diplomacy skills.
  • Extremely proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong understanding of Profit and Loss management and financial reporting.
