Job Description:

The Director of Operations will play a key role in supporting the team and ensuring smooth daily operations. This critical position will manage contracts, permits, human resources, community relations, and administrative services. We're looking for an experienced professional with a high level of situational awareness, attention to detail, and proactive communication skills who can work independently and be a supportive team player.

Key Responsibilities:

Contract Coordination

  • Prepare and execute bid documents; attend public bid openings and secure bid bonds.
  • Manage contract packages for awarded projects, including performance and payment bonds.
  • Prepare subcontractor agreements, ensuring completion before work begins.

Permit Procurement

  • Oversee the entire permit process, ensuring timely applications, renewals, and compliance with permit requirements.
  • Manage project-specific signage and notifications, and oversee the RMV permit system for fleet vehicles.

Human Resources

  • Manage hiring processes, including posting job openings, screening candidates, and onboarding new hires.
  • Act as a resource for employees regarding policies, time off, payroll, and more.
  • Maintain records of employee licenses and assist with training on safety policies.

Community and Client Coordination

  • Handle community questions and complaints related to projects, working with project teams to resolve issues.
  • Represent the company for administrative reporting and handle client inquiries as needed.

Administrative Services

  • Support real-time needs of company operations, improve policies, and manage facility operations.
  • Organize documents, conduct job visits, handle mail, and facilitate front desk duties.

Requirements:

  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with a team-oriented mindset.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development, including occasional travel.
  • Have experience with contract coordination, permit procurement, and community & client coordination.
