Job Summary:
Directs and oversees manufacturing/warehousing operations and activities for the HP HOOD manufacturing facility in Oneida NY. The Director of Operations will provide direction and an appropriate level of support to individual department leaders and front-line teams in delivering strategic objectives, optimizing plant operations and meeting established performance goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Plan, organize, direct and provide leadership necessary for achieving plant and company goals in the areas of Safety, Quality, Labor Relations, Customer Service, and Cost (CPU and Variances).
* Contributes to strategic planning, direction, and goal setting for the Oneida manufacturing site.
* Responsible for the successful attainment of performance objectives, implementation of policies, and most effective utilization of available resources while ensuring all customer, regulatory and legal requirements are
* Champions a continuous improvement culture by leading CI professionals in Identifying manufacturing processes or procedures that could benefit from process improvement or efficiency optimization, and approves the implementation of
* Develops a manufacturing plan and production schedule that increases profit, reduces cost per unit and exceeds customer expectations.
* Establishes employee safety, food safety and product quality standards and manages vendor or organizational
* Evaluates/Modifies employee schedules and staffing plans to reduce labor costs while meeting performance expectations.
* Leads and directs the work of manufacturing site department leadership.

Education and Experience:
* Typically requires a bachelor's degree and/or at least 10 years of manufacturing experience.
* Experience leading continuous improvement/lean manufacturing activities.

* Knowledge of PMO and other related regulatory guidelines as well as interaction with federal and state government employees
