Suntex Marinas is a high growth real-estate company investing exclusively in niche mixed-use marinas and their related operating platforms. We have acquired, developed, and operated over 40 full-service marinas which include retail spaces, office buildings, resorts, hotels, and restaurants in the United States, the Caribbean, and Mexico for 20 years. Over the course of the years, we have developed a solid reputation by being dedicated to our customers, clients, guests, communities, employees, and investors.

The Director of Operations – Marina Jack Restaurants is responsible for overseeing the Front of House operations in all outlets. This role encompasses operational management, staff leadership, and enhancing customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the restaurant industry, strong leadership abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences.

  • Oversee Front of House Operations to ensure compliance with company standards and policies
  • Train and mentor restaurant managers and key staff members to create a high performing team
  • Develop and implement training programs to ensure staff are knowledgeable about menus, customer service standards, and the core values of the company
  • Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, collaboration, and employee engagement
  • Collaborate with General Manager to establish and execute short-term and long-term business goals
  • Assume other duties and responsibilities required or assigned by General Manager
  • OPERATING RESPONSIBILITIES

    Work performed and composed of a variety of different tasks, calling for use of judgment and compliance with policies and procedures. Must be a self-starter and able to work independently.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Proven work experience as a Restaurant Manager overseeing operations for a high-volume establishment generating annual revenues of at least $5 million
  • Skilled in various aspects of restaurant operations, purchasing, sanitation, security, company policies and procedures, personnel management, record keeping, and report preparation
  • Excellent computer, problem-solving, and customer service skills
  • Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external customers
  • Adaptable to a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with restaurant management software
  • Must have flexible schedule to include working weekends and holidays
  • Must be ServSafe Certified
  • WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to independently lift, carry, push, and pull up to thirty (30) pounds
  • Must be able to swim or be willing to wear a personal flotation device in instances of emergency
  • Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand & arm movements frequently, and squeezing & overhead reaching occasionally
  • Must be able to bend, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull, and walk on various terrains and uneven surfaces on an occasional basis
  • Must be able to walk outside in variety of weather conditions to include rain, wind, heat, sleet, snow, extreme heat or cold
  • Must be able to climb stairs, both indoors and outdoors, in a variety of weather conditions as necessary
  • Must be able to listen to and analyze data audibly, responding to requests and providing guidance and direction
