Job Description:

A leading healthcare organization in New York City is seeking a Director of Organizational Development and Learning to drive strategic initiatives that enhance organizational effectiveness, leadership development, and employee engagement. This role is pivotal in aligning the organization's culture and workforce strategies with its mission, vision, and strategic goals.

Responsibilities:

The Director of Organizational Development and Learning will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing organizational development strategies that align with key business objectives
  • Leading leadership development initiatives, including coaching, training programs, and succession planning
  • Partnering with executives and HR to identify and address organizational needs, ensuring effective team building and conflict resolution
  • Designing and managing non-clinical training programs and integrating competency models for selection, assessment, and development
  • Providing change management expertise and evaluating organizational performance through diagnostic tools and metrics
  • Administering employee satisfaction surveys and leveraging data to drive targeted interventions
  • Overseeing the Learning Management System (LMS) and managing internal and external consultants
  • Preparing and managing departmental budgets to optimize resources effectively

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 7-10 years in leadership roles, designing and implementing organizational development programs, preferably in a mid-to-large healthcare environment
  • ICF coaching certification and certifications in diagnostic tools
  • Expertise in adult learning principles and program evaluation
  • Proficiency in change management and project management
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities
  • Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Learning Management Systems

Desired Skills:

  • Master's degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources, or related field
  • Experience with healthcare organizational structures and improvement cycles
  • Familiarity with HR metrics, HCHAPS scores, and engagement surveys
  • Demonstrated ability to create innovative strategies and flexible plans to meet evolving organizational needs
