With over 25 years of experience serving pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device customers, they are set for further expansion in the US and Europe in the next 5 years.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the operations of the Peptide Research Department, ensuring high-quality output.
- Provide leadership to the team by setting clear goals, motivating and mentoring staff, and handling recruitment and training of new employees.
- Design effective peptides and troubleshoot synthesis challenges related to peptides and peptide-based compounds.
- Coordinate peptide-related activities across medicinal chemistry, analytical chemistry, and computational chemistry teams at various global sites.
- Lead integrated service projects focused on peptides for clients, utilizing in-house services.
- Prepare and deliver reports and recommendations based on research findings.
- Guide the team in developing innovative chemical technologies and methodologies for peptide drug research.
Key Requirements:
- Proven track record in drug discovery, demonstrated through peer-reviewed publications, patent applications, and/or IND filings.
- Strong management skills, including strategic planning, budget preparation, conflict resolution, and team building.
- Strategic decision-making skills, with the ability to weigh costs and benefits of different approaches and select the most appropriate strategies.
- Creativity in generating innovative ideas and solutions to complex scientific or operational challenges.
Educational Background:
- PhD or Master's degree in Peptide Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or clinical research industry.
