The Director of Pharmacy manages and supervises all aspects of pharmacy services and medication management for multiple locations including Marshall Medical Center North (Guntersville, AL), Marshall Medical Center South (Boaz, AL), Marshall Cancer Care Center (Albertville, AL) and a hospital owned retail pharmacy (Albertville, AL).
The Director of Pharmacy for Marshall Medical Centers will be responsible for providing customized pharmacy program solutions that improve patient care quality and reduce costs at all its locations, including 340B direct management involvement. This position reports to the VP of Operations.
Responsibilities:This position assures all legal, regulatory, and accrediting requirements are maintained at all Marshall Medical Centers Pharmacy locations. The Director of Pharmacy should maintain a professional presence throughout the hospitals and develop relationships with pharmacy staff, hospital clinical and non-clinical leaders. In addition to providing managerial leadership to the pharmacy, the Pharmacy Director maintains financial responsibility for the pharmacy and ensures the department delivers on hospital goals and objectives.

Position includes management and oversight of 15+ pharmacists and support personnel. There are multiple HRSA 340B OPAIS registered sites contained within 3 physical address locations in Guntersville, Albertville and Boaz. Marshall Medical Center North and South hospitals are 21 miles apart, and Marshall Cancer Care Center and retail pharmacy sit in between the two hospitals.
Qualifications:Education: Graduation from an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy
Licensure/Certification: Current Licensure by the Alabama Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacist. Parenteral Certification
Experience: Previous management experience in hospital setting. Previous experience in a retail pharmacy setting. Knowledge and working experience with 340B drug program.
