Seneca Holdingshas an immediate need for a Director of Pricing. The Director of Pricing will play a pivotal role in developing and executing strategic pricing initiatives for our federal government contracts. This leadership position will oversee all aspects of pricing, including cost estimation, pricing strategy formulation, competitive analysis, and profitability optimization. The successful candidate must be a versatile and strategic thinker who will collaborate closely with the business development, finance, and operations teams to ensure that our proposals are both competitive and in compliance with government regulations and guidelines for 8(a) and full and open opportunities This will be a remote position with office attendance on an as-needed basis. This position will report directly to the Vice President of Finance and will have supervisory responsibilities. General Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Pricing Strategy and Analysis:
  • Develop and implement pricing strategies that align with company objectives and enhance competitive positioning in the Federal government contracting space.
  • Conduct comprehensive market and competitive analyses to understand pricing trends, potential risks, opportunities for pricing optimization and develop Price-To-Win strategies
  • Monitor industry dynamics, pricing policies, and government procurement trends to adapt pricing strategies accordingly. Cost Estimation and Pricing Proposal Development:
    • Lead the preparation and review of cost estimates and pricing proposals for Federal government contracts, taking into account direct and indirect costs, labor rates, material costs, and overhead expenses.
    • Ensure the accuracy, compliance, and consistency of pricing proposals with contract requirements, FAR, and other applicable regulations. Pricing Compliance and Contract Negotiations:
      • Collaborate with the Contracts and Legal teams to ensure pricing proposals adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and contractual requirements.
      • Participate in contract negotiations, providing expertise on pricing strategies and justifications to achieve favorable outcomes while maintaining profitable margins. Financial Analysis and Forecasting:
        • Analyze pricing performance data, contract profitability, and other relevant financial metrics to identify areas for improvement and potential cost-saving opportunities.
        • Develop pricing models and forecasts to support long-term planning and business decision-making. Team Leadership and Development:
          • Manage a team of pricing professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
          • Provide mentorship, guidance, and training to team members to enhance their pricing expertise and professional growth. Basic Qualifications and Desired Skills:
            • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
            • Proven track record of at least eight years in a pricing leadership role within the Federal government contracting domain.
            • Thorough understanding of Federal acquisition regulations (FAR) and other relevant government pricing guidelines.
            • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven pricing decisions.
            • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
            • Demonstrated experience in managing and leading pricing teams.
            • Exceptional attention to detail, combined with the ability to see the broader strategic picture.
            • Knowledge and efficiency in the following Software: Microsoft Office, MS Teams, and Complex Excel workbooks and formulas.
