Responsibilities
• Oversee day-to-day operations of the warehouse to ensure operational integrity and efficiency
• Strategic planning to improve operational function and achieve organizational goals
• Direct warehouse organization to optimize storage and production capacities
• Management of warehouse operations budget for equipment, supplies and repairs
• Oversee facility maintenance and security, ensuring systems are operational at all times
• Ensure all operations comply with safety regulations such as OSHA and fire code
• Establish and maintain quality control processes across all stages of production
• Oversee recruitment, training, and supervision of warehouse and detailing staff, fostering a productive and positive work environment
• Establish and refine onboarding and training programs for warehouse and detailing employees
• Manage metal shop production schedule for new work orders
• Develop and maintain metal shop processes and policies, ensuring a productive, safe, and innovative department
• Recommend fabrication techniques based on project objectives and budget
• Work with Lead Detailer in establishing and refining best practices within the Detailing Department including graphic and show layouts, bill of materials, wood and metal detail drawings, set up instructions, parts labeling, and structural design
• Work with Warehouse Manager in scheduling project builds, shipments, and inspections
• Work with Director of Client Services in ensuring all project information, include change orders, are effectively communicated bidirectionally between the warehouse and office teams
• Oversee procurement, storage, and processes related to stock and rental inventories
• Oversee tracking of all stock, rental, and client-owned assets physically and in NetSuite ERP
• Oversee Fulfillment Department, working with Fulfillment Supervisor in ensuring accurate and timely fulfillment, shipping, and return inspections of client-owned assets
• Oversee Shipping Department, ensuring materials are shipped, received, and checked in within established timeframes
Requirements
• 5+ years of related experience as Production Manager/Director, Warehouse Manager, Foreman, Operations Manager/Director, Director of Manufacturing, or similar
• Trade show industry experience preferred
• College degree preferred, but not required
• Outstanding leadership skills – ability to motivate teams in achieving organizational objectives
• Exceptional organization and multi-tasking skills, detailed, positive attitude, self-motivated and team oriented
• Excellent proficiency in ERP systems, such as Oracle NetSuite, Inventory Management software, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Office Suite
