Location: Boston, MA

America's Test Kitchen is seeking a Director, Program Management & Operations who will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of Marketing and Analytics team initiatives. This role requires an obsessively detail-oriented and strategic individual with strong project management skills who can develop the infrastructure required to scale our subscriber acquisition and retention efforts. The role will work closely with cross-functional teams, including the Digital Product, Engineering, Editorial, Design, Marketing, Data and Customer Service divisions. The Director will report to the Chief Marketing & Data Officer and manage one direct report.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Leadership: Provide leadership and oversight for the day-to-day operations of the Marketing & Analytics divisions, with a focus on efficiency, scalability and alignment to business objectives.
  • Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of Marketing and Analytics team projects & campaigns, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with stakeholders spanning Marketing, Analytics, Product, Editorial, Dev, Customer Support and agency vendor teams to understand their needs, define requirements, prioritize requests, and secure approvals. Serve as primary liaison between the Marketing/Analytics org and the Digital Product/Dev org
  • Roadmap Planning: Within the Marketing & Analytics division, develop and manage comprehensive plans (campaign calendar, new capabilities request list, prioritized queue of upcoming initiatives), outlining objectives, timelines, milestones, resources, and deliverables. Develop a culture of long-lead planning, with initiatives mapped out for the upcoming 4-8 calendar quarters
  • Documentation: Develop & maintain comprehensive documentation for both Digital projects & requests (Data requirements, MarTech requirements, UX requirements, dependencies, etc.) and for individual marketing programs (project plans, status reports, meeting minutes, risk logs, etc.)
  • Process Optimization: Identify and implement processes and best practices to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of marketing and analytics operations. Drive a culture of continuous improvement by pursuing opportunities for process innovation, leveraging tooling and automation to enhance the scalability and reliability of the team infrastructure.
  • Risk Management: Anticipate and mitigate risks associated with marketing and analytics operations, developing contingency plans as needed.
  • Communication: Maintain clear and consistent communication with all stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, milestones, key decisions and deliverables..
  • User Training & Support: Provide training and support to ensure effective use of Project Manager tools, MarTech platforms & Analytics dashboards

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Operations Management, Computer Science, Mathematics or a related field. A certification in PMP or project management is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in program management, project management, or operations management, preferably in a marketing or digital media focused role, with an emphasis on MarTech & Analytics
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Track record for building infrastructure that enables organizations to scale impact and drive results.
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills, with experience in managing complex projects and initiatives from inception to completion. Knowledge of project management tools and methodologies, and familiarity with agile development frameworks.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with meticulous attention-to-detail and the ability to manage multiple high priority projects simultaneously.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to leverage data to drive operational improvements and decision-making.
  • Technical Proficiency/Knowledge: Proficiency in marketing and analytics tools and platforms, including MarTech stack components, CRM, marketing automation, data analytics, content management systems and project management software. Specific experience with tools such as MixPanel, Google Analytics, Acxiom, Google Tag Manager (GTM), Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC), leading ESPs, CDPs, SSOs, identity management solutions, CDS, Piano and Blueconic is preferred.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and requirements.

This position is located in our Boston, MA office in the Seaport district. It is the expectation that the person in this role will work a hybrid schedule of 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday) in the office and 2 days per week remotely.
