Our organization is looking for a motivated individual with a calling to help adults with mental illness by becoming our Director of PROS & SOAR.This position is responsible for Operations to ensure services are delivered at Gathering Place PROS, SOAR, and Adult Family Support Group programs in a manner that is consistent with members' personal recovery goals, cultural background and beliefs.Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for the clinical supervision of the Gathering Place PROS program, including oversight of members' treatment and staff delivery of clinical services. This may include supervision towards licensure (with appropriate credentials) as well as student interns.
- Must have the ability to implement and revise policy and procedures based on Office of Mental Health's PROS program regulations.
- Responsible for ensuring members' treatment and services are person centered, in line with PROS regulations, and promotes quality program standards
- Ensures all aspects of programming including core curriculum is in line with PROS regulations and a learning environment is maintained to facilitate goal attainment.
- In conjunction with the PROS Assistant Director, participates in the Admissions Committee meetings to ensure referrals, admissions and discharges of member's meets program guidelines.
- Ensures treatment alternatives for individuals not accepted into the program are explored and communicated with the appropriate parties.
- Responsible for approval of Individual Recovery Plans ensuring plans meet program guidelines.
- Serves as back-up for staff as needed. This includes but is not limited to facilitating referrals, outreach, conducting initial screening interviews, assessments and facilitating individual and group sessions.
- Ensures staff adhere to all facets of the functional program including program person centered philosophy, goals and objectives as well as adhere to agency policies and procedures.
- Coordinate and facilitate staff meetings, cases conferences, and staff training.
- Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, corrective action, evaluation and termination of staff and interns.
- Works with staff to ensure outcome measures related to vocational outcomes, health related outcomes, and movement to a lower level of services are met.
- Ensures staff maintains case records per agency and program standards.
- Completes documentation and reports in a timely fashion and as required.
- Monitors program spending, purchasing and petty cash system. Must be responsible and diligent to ensure program meets budgetary guidelines.
- On a monthly basis, reviews PROS program service utilization to ensure billing meets regulatory compliance guidelines. In addition, must be able to coordinate solutions with MHANC's billing department when or if delays occur.
- Ability to represent PROS program at monthly PROS forum meetings held in-person or via Zoom.
- Ability to represent PROS, SOAR and Adult Family Support programs to new employees attending MHANC's Employee Orientation.
- Manages weekly PROS Clinic schedule for program psychiatrist, nurse practitioner and registered nurse.
- Approves staff daily work schedule, time management and data entry into payroll system.
- Participates in the implementation of agency's Quality Improvement Program and ensures program policies and procedures are modified and updated as needed. Works with program staff to maintain CAIRS database information.
- Coordinates Utilization Review, Internal Audits, Program Satisfaction Survey and Patient Characteristics Survey with Quality Improvement Program.
- Represents PROS/SOAR and Adult Family Support program on MHANC's Incident Review Committee. Must have ability to utilize NIMRS system for incident reporting.
- Represents PROS, SOAR and Adult Family Support Group on MHANC's Emergency Preparedness Committee.
- Prepares program for audits (OMH, Medicaid, Medicare, Medicaid Managed Care) as required.
- Responsible for the daily monitoring of PROS staffing to ensure there is adequate coverage of program daily group schedule.
- Participates in all fire safety and disaster preparedness drills in a safe and professional manner.
- Is available after program hours for member emergencies via cell phone.
- Oversight of the daily operation of the SOAR program.
- Oversight of the Adult Family Support Group program. Coverage for group, individual and telephonic consults required.
- Maintain professional status through in-service and other trainings and participate in continuing educational programs designed to assure knowledge of changes in profession
- Accepts and follows through on other duties as assigned.
RequirementsEducation & Experience
- Master's Level in Human Services required
- Must be a Licensed Professional of the Healing Arts - LCSW, LMHC (diagnostic privilege pending).
- Prior experience in mental health programming required. Prior experience in PROS preferred. Prior Supervisory experience required.
Other Qualifications
- Valid NYS Driver's license.
- Microsoft Outlook Suite, Internet experience and basic working knowledge of computer operations. Electronic Health Record usage experience a must.
- Good written and oral communication skills, strong leadership skills and the ability to multi-task.

Salary Description $80,000 - $95,000 annually
