The Inglewood Unified School District (IUSD) is seeking a highly qualified and motivated candidate for the pivotal role of Director of Purchasing! This incumbent will be crucial in providing leadership, specialized contract analysis, purchasing and warehouse operations oversight and will support the school building program. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree, preferably with a concentration in accounting, finance, or a related field, and five years or more years of increasingly responsible professional experience in purchasing including supervisor or management experience. Managerial experience in a Local Education Agency (LEA) is preferred. While this describes the ideal candidate, any combination of experience, training, and/or education that could likely provide the desired knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered for candidates who attach a statement to their application (see details below).
