  • Develop and implement departmental goals, plans, and standards in alignment with clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements.
  • Oversee patient care delivery, complaint management, and quality control initiatives.
  • Lead and monitor departmental operations, including staffing, training, and disciplinary actions.
  • Manage budgets and ensure compliance with allocated funding; coordinate internal and external audits.
  • Provide leadership in risk management and accreditation activities.
  • Analyze risk management data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Develop and maintain a safety culture by implementing effective risk-reduction strategies.
  • Collaborate with patient safety and quality improvement teams to address grievances and enhance the patient experience.
  • Coordinate and oversee regulatory compliance activities with agencies such as The Joint Commission (TJC) and CMS.
  • Facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration to identify and address process improvements.
Experience:
  • Five years of healthcare experience as an RN, including two years in quality/clinical nursing leadership (preferred).
  • Five years in healthcare risk management and accreditation, with insurance industry experience (preferred).
  • Three years of direct patient care experience, including critical care (preferred).
Skills:
  • Strong critical thinking, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with Process Review, Root Cause Analysis, and Joint Commission standards.
  • Proficiency with computer systems and data analysis.
QualificationsMinimum QualificationsEducation:
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (required).
  • Master's degree in Nursing or a related field (preferred).
Licensure:
  • Current KY or Multi-State RN license.
  • CPHQ certification required within one year of employment.
