Job Description:

A leading aerospace component manufacturer is seeking a Director of Quality to ensure that processes, products, and services delivered to customers comply with customer, regulatory, and company requirements throughout the product lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert guidance on regulatory and customer requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement by optimizing processes and organization, aligning with operational excellence goals, and adhering to Company and Branch/Division Quality policies and strategies.
  • Develop and support the Quality Network within the Business Unit (BU), as well as Group, Branch, and Division Quality Networks.
  • Implement quality targets across HK.
  • Promote, support, and coach QRQC and Company Problem Solving within the BU.
  • Ensure that all products and quality processes meet or exceed regulatory requirements and customer expectations, exercising broad and independent authority.
  • Take decisive actions when quality levels are insufficient to meet customer expectations, violate aviation regulations, or involve safety concerns, including: a. Halting deliveries and proposing or deciding on the recall of delivered products, b. Limiting or suspending the use of a supplier, c. Freezing program quality gates.
  • Communicate with Management regarding Quality topics, including crises, alerts, and compliance risks.
  • Ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and Company requirements.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering (B.S.M.E.), Quality Assurance (B.S.Q.A.), or equivalent.
  • Required: 7-10 years in supervising/managing Quality Assurance operations, with experience in AS9100 and knowledge of FAA regulations.
  • Preferred: 10-15 years in supervising/managing Quality Assurance operations, with extensive experience in AS9100 and FAA regulations.
  • Required: Strong leadership skills, excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, familiarity with FAA regulations, and AS9100.
  • Preferred: Additional knowledge of government specifications for Quality Assurance programs, experience in product/operation audits and regulatory audits, and FAA ODA Management experience or FAA DER/DAR experience.
