Director of Real Estate DevelopmentSummary Purpose for the PositionTo provide direct administration and operations management for the Housing Development Program in Upstate New York, including planning, marketing, real estate development, financial analysis, subcontractor supervision and coordination with other PathStone housing programs and other PathStone divisions.Requirements (Education, Experience, Certification, Knowledge, Skill)Position requires B.A. comparable training and experience in the field of housing development and program management.A minimum of ten years of extensive administrative management (including supervision) and program experience with demonstrated knowledge of state and federal housing funding sources and programs, as well as financial analysis and computer competencies are required.Have completed 1-4 successful developments on budget and on time or developments totaling up to $75,000,000 in project costs on budget and on timePosition ResponsibilitiesPosition is responsible for submitting reports to the Sr. Vice President of Real Estate Development and maintaining adequate records, budgets, and performance data for all programs over which the supervisor has responsibility.Position is responsible, in conjunction with the Sr. Vice President of Real Estate Development, for maintaining a liaison with municipalities, financial institutions, and funding agencies.Position is required to develop Real Estate projects objectives on a local or multi-county level.Position is responsible for the review of work performance of staff, including developing work plans and monitoring quantity and quality of work.Position is responsible for the reviews work performance of contractors/partners up to 10 advanced level of knowledge including identifying, developing, scope of work orders, monitoring quantity and quality of work.This position is responsible for the planning and development of new and existing funding resources for a statewide housing program.Position is required to prepare and modify operating and administrative budgets.Responsibilities include defining program objective, developing the steps, methods, and procedures for fulfilling those goals, and assuring that the programs, and projects comply with all local, state and federal regulations.Review development proposals and progress with the Sr. Vice President of Real Estate Development.Responsible at the division level for making sure that all funding, financing, zoning, standards and guidelines are being properly implemented and reviewed.Working Conditions/EnvironmentRequires flexible work hours, including overnight travel, and routine surface and air travel.Transportation RequirementPosition requires automobile, driver's license and insurance.Last Updated: 4/2/2021Replaces: Updates previous version of E11SREDApproved: by Sr. VP HR, 4/2/2021
