General Description:

The Director of Regional Market, West Coast, will lead Sake ONO's sales efforts and market expansion in the West Coast region. Currently reporting to the CEO, this role will oversee the Market Managers and ensure the successful execution of sales strategies and initiatives. The Director will be instrumental in building and maintaining relationships with key accounts, distributors, and stakeholders while driving the team to achieve and exceed sales targets.

Mission/Objectives:

The Director of the Regional Market, West Coast, aims to enhance Sake ONO's brand visibility and drive sales growth within the West Coast region. By strategically leading and empowering the Market Managers, the Director will foster collaboration across sales, brand, and field marketing teams to strengthen the market presence and elevate Sake ONO as a leader in retail and on-premise channels. This role is crucial in achieving business objectives, expanding market share, and ensuring sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Management:

  • Lead and manage the West Coast Market team, including Market Managers, to achieve sales targets and objectives.
  • Provide coaching, training, and performance evaluations to ensure the team meets and exceeds goals.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
  • Act as the lead for the distributor and perform sales tracking, demand planning, etc.

Strategic Planning:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales plan aligned with company objectives for the West Coast region.
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create and implement promotional activities and campaigns.

Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, key accounts, and other regional stakeholders.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with distributors and key accounts to maximize profitability.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for major accounts and ensure high customer satisfaction.

Market Expansion:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand Sake ONO's presence in the West Coast region.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential customers and develop strategies to win new business.
  • Participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking activities to promote Sake ONO's products and services.

Operational Oversight:

  • Monitor sales performance and provide regular reports to the CEO.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the sales budget for the West Coast region, including expenses and resource allocation.

Collaboration and Coordination:

  • Work closely with the CEO and other regional directors to align strategies and share best practices.
  • Coordinate with the brand and field marketing teams to ensure consistent and effective market presence.
  • Support and guide Market Managers in their local market activities and initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in sales management, preferably in the beverage or consumer goods industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving market growth.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to analyze market data and develop strategic plans.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the region.
