Position Overview The position of Director of Reporting Data Management in the Analytics & Reporting Department is responsible for data management in supporting organizational analytics and reporting. This role will lead a team of data engineers and collaborate with other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely analytics and reporting. The team will be responsible for creating and maintaining ELT data processes for reporting data sources, supporting vendor solution implementation, and administering the Tableau reporting portal. This role will also be participating in organizational data governance activities.

The successful candidate must have strong project management skills, communication skills, analytical skills, programming skills in SQL Server, Python, R script or Java, as well as BI reporting skills. The candidate should also have knowledge of application development life cycle and healthcare data management experience.

Job Description
  • Lead and supervise the data management team.
  • Manage data processes to support organizational analytics and reporting.
  • Oversee the collection, organization, integration, and analysis of all data sources to support organizational analytics and reporting.
  • Design, develop and maintain efficient data management processes to ensure accurate and timely data availability.
  • Collaborate with IT and all business areas to identify reporting and security requirements, implement solutions accordingly.
  • Provide data support to vendor solution implementation.
  • Coordinate data-related activities with business areas and external vendors during the implementation of vendor solutions that support business operation.
  • Ensure accurate implementation of business requirements and seamless integration of data systems and processes with vendor platforms.
  • Oversee theMetroPlusHealth Tableau Reporting Portal, including system administration, system upgrade, security management, product license management, and reporting on data source management.
  • Participate in organization wide data governance activity.
  • Implement data governance policy in reporting data processes.
  • Create process documents and related policies and procedures to ensure that data processes follow MetroPlusHealth security protocols and policies.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required in information systems, Computer Science, or Database management.
  • Minimum 10 years of programming experience in SQL Server database development, Microsoft Visual Studio, and other ELT tools.
  • Minimum 7 years' experience in progressively complex healthcare data analytics.
  • Previously experience in BI reporting tools, such as BusinessObjects, Tableau or Power BI
  • Knowledge of X12 EDI data format
  • Ability to manage programmers and data analysts.
