Job Summary

Overall responsibility for directing budgeting, forecasting, compliance, pricing, and cost report activities. Reports directly to the VP Revenue Mgmt & Reimbursement. Interacts with Senior Managers, Administrators, Physicians, Health Services Cost Review Commission (HSCRC), Maryland Hospital Association (MHA), and Auditors.

Qualifications:

• BS/BA required in business accounting, health care management or finance. Post graduate degree strongly preferred.
• 7-10+ years of progressively responsible related experience in healthcare reimbursement regulations, cost accounting and operations including 3-5 years of management experience.
• Extensive knowledge of HSCRC and Medicare regulations, health care planning, budgeting, pricing and hospital organization.
• Professional level of knowledge in finance or accounting including regulatory compliance issues and a comprehensive understanding of all budget and price change planning procedures.
• High degree of knowledge of regulatory and cost accounting principles, revenue budgeting, and annual operating plan development.
• Experience in developing and presenting financial information to executive level audiences, and coordination of staff in providing support services to clients in decentralized or consulting environments.
