BBB is on the lookout for an experienced and dynamic Business Development Director to lead our talented team of business development managers and representatives at our Meridian office location. Location: Boise, Idaho (Relocation Required; Package Offered)

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Management:
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of 4 business development managers, each overseeing a team of 10 representatives.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and results-driven team culture.
  • Set clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Performance Management:
  • Drive the team to meet and exceed sales targets for service-based subscription products.
  • Implement and manage performance improvement plans as necessary.
  • Recognize and reward high achievers, reinforcing our commitment to sales excellence.
  • Training & Development:
  • Identify development needs within the team and align training programs to enhance skills.
  • Promote continuous learning and professional development opportunities.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to managers, enabling them to develop their leadership skills.
  • Sales & Revenue Growth:
  • Oversee the daily operations of the business development teams, ensuring effective management of sales pipelines.
  • Support the team in closing deals by providing guidance and removing obstacles.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to ensure alignment and support for business development initiatives.
  • Client Relationship Management:
  • Step in as needed to support negotiations and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Reporting & Analysis:
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess team performance.
  • Prepare regular reports on team performance, providing insights and recommendations to senior leadership.

    What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 7-10 years of experience in business development or sales, with at least 3-5 years in a team manager role.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and growing a business development or sales team in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in selling service-based subscription products is highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving and exceeding goals.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools; experience with HubSpot Sales Hub is preferred.
