This role is responsible for achieving optimal occupancy, ADR growth, and total revenue, all while meeting or exceeding profit objectives. The Director of Sales develops and implements comprehensive sales and marketing strategies by analyzing market trends, identifying opportunities, and understanding the needs of target audiences. This role ensures the execution of effective plans to maximize revenue and enhance the hotel's competitive positioning in the market. Duties & Task1. Performance Management: Focus efforts on key performance metrics to drive impactful results in occupancy, ADR, revenue, and market share. Prioritize initiatives that deliver measurable outcomes aligned with property objectives.2. Team Collaboration: Coordinate the involvement of sales support personnel (if applicable), front desk associates, revenue management, and corporate support teams. Work closely with General Managers to ensure performance objectives and customer expectations are consistently met.3. Revenue Optimization: Implement and manage field support tools such as training programs, productivity initiatives, territory planning, and customer communication platforms to positively impact property revenue goals.4. Forecasting & Analysis: Actively participate in property forecasting efforts, ensuring timely and accurate revenue estimates. Maintain a deep understanding of the corporate, group, and crew segments to drive informed business decisions.5. Pricing Strategies: Collaborate with revenue management teams to optimize pricing strategies, analyze demand patterns, and identify opportunities to enhance profitability and market positioning.6. Budget Management: Develop and manage sales and marketing budgets, ensuring expenditures align with allocated resources. Regularly report performance metrics and results to senior management.7. Market Insights: Stay ahead of industry trends and conduct competitive analyses. Use market insights to inform decisions on pricing, product offerings, and marketing strategies that position the property for success.8. Customer Engagement: Proactively engage key customer accounts, clarifying and validating requirements. Serve as a senior point of contact for key clients, fostering strong relationships to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.9. Internal Relationships: Build collaborative relationships with LTD Hospitality Group personnel, including sales leaders, support teams, and operational liaisons. Facilitate frequent communication and teamwork to align efforts across the organization.Organizational Alignment & Accountability1. The position reports directly to the property General Managers.2. Meets assigned individual quotas for revenue generation, sales activities, profit and strategic objectives.3. Accountable for the thorough implementation of all customer-related initiatives.4. The position is responsible for the achievement of sales, profit and strategic objectives.5. Accountable for accurate and on time sales reporting, essential for organization effectiveness.6. Directly manages sales objectives and conducts weekly review meetings with the property General Manager to include scheduled sales activities, upcoming appointments, action plan accomplishments, group pace, account production for the property and revenue production.Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Additionally, the requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and or ability required.1. Three to five (3 to 5) years of hotel sales leadership experience2. Direct experience with some or all the following hotel sales categories: a. Business Travel Sales b. Government Transient and Group Sales c. Corporate, Social, Tour and Travel Group Sales d. Crew Sales e. Catering Sales3. Solid budget management skills that include forecasting, file balancing, auditing, research and segment sales reviews4. Knowledge of hotel operations, competitive set rates, property positioning, promotional offers and packaging5.
