Position SummaryAs the Director of School Culture, you will develop a deep understanding of Bold's vision, values, and model. You will serve as a steward of Bold's values-based school culture, and work with leadership to equip all teachers to build classroom cultures that are joyful, engaging, and rigorous. You will be part of a results-oriented and collaborative team of professionals who are relentless in their pursuit of educational excellence. You will receive regular coaching and feedback, and will have opportunities for professional growth within the organization. - Developing a deep understanding of Bold's culture, values, and model
- Implementing a vision for student and school culture that is guided by Bold's core values
- Developing strong relationships with students, teachers, and families and investing all stakeholders in Bold's learning readiness and school culture initiatives, and the overall academic success of every student
- Developing strong relationships with families and students, including regular communication that drives high levels of investment in school culture and academics
- Supporting a culture of excellence across the school, collaborating with school leadership and team members on all aspects of school management
- Modeling Bold's core values and building a positive student and team culture across the school
- Training with colleagues and school leaders, which includes regularly implementing feedback with grace and urgency in service of student achievement, a values-based school culture, a positive professional work environment, and personal leadership development
- Demonstrating a mission-first mindset to ensure all decisions and actions are rooted in ensuring that all students excel
Successful candidates should:
- Be passionate about teaching and learning
- Have 3+ years of aligned experience in a similar setting
- Have 2+ years of teaching experience at a high-performing school
- Hold exceptionally high personal standards for performance and possess an excellence reflex that constantly raises the bar
- Be a person of high moral character and with well-developed emotional intelligence
- Demonstrate an ability to multi-task effectively and prioritize strategically
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to and alignment with the mission, beliefs, and values of Bold, and to going above and beyond the requirements of the job
- Have the ability to work within a fast-paced and dynamic team environment where responsibility for student success is shared and owned by everyone
- Hold a commitment to solutions-based problem solving and previous experience of such
- Hold a Bachelor's degree with an outstanding record of achievement and leadership; graduate degree preferred
