Job summary:
The Director of Special Events is responsible for the planning, management, and execution of large-scale events hosted at stadium venues, including sports competitions, concerts, car shows, and other high-profile productions. This leadership role requires exceptional organizational skills, strategic planning, and the ability to manage complex logistics while ensuring a seamless experience for attendees, performers, and stakeholders.
Compensation Range: $90,000 - $100,000

About the Position:
• Oversee the end-to-end planning and execution of events, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and client expectations.
• Develop comprehensive event plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate with promoters, sponsors, performers, and vendors to ensure successful event delivery.
• Manage all aspects of venue parking operations, including staffing, parking, and crowd control.
• Oversee the installation and dismantling of event-specific infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, permits, and licensing requirements.
• Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team, including parking staff, management, and contractors.
• Work closely with internal departments such as marketing, HR, payroll, and operations management to ensure seamless coordination.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders, maintaining strong relationships and open communication.
• Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and profitability.
• Negotiate contracts with vendors, performers, and sponsors to secure favorable terms.
• Monitor revenue streams, including parking revenues, sponsorships, and concessions.
• Implement strategies to enhance the guest experience, ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
• Address and resolve any issues or complaints promptly during events.
• Monitor post-event parking feedback and develop action plans for continuous improvement.
Develop and implement contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges, such as weather, technical failures, or security issues.
• Lead crisis response efforts in collaboration with security and emergency services.
About YOU
Your Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 7–10 years of experience managing large-scale events, including experience with stadium or arena venues.
• Proven expertise in event planning, logistics, and operations.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with relevant safety and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the event schedule.
• Capacity to navigate large venues and manage extended periods of standing or walking.
