Position Description
Position Summary:
The Director of Strategic Marketing and Community Engagement is a visionary leader who will develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy to support the mission of our K-12 charter school. This individual will focus on expanding the school's brand, driving specialized marketing campaigns for student and staff recruitment, and enhancing fundraising efforts. The Director will tailor strategies to reflect the school's unique culture and values of belonging, growth, and leadership, while promoting character traits of responsibility, restraint, integrity, caring, and honesty.

Qualifications:
* Master's degree in an area relevant to coordinating and directing school/community relations or equivalent education and experience or 3 or more years of experience in a relevant role
* At least one year of working in an urban environment
* At least 6 years of marketing experience
* Working knowledge of internal and external communication strategies
* Mastery of communication skills (verbal, written, and interpersonal)
* Proficiency with current technology for performance of duties including Google Suite, graphic design and publication/print software
* Knowledge of HTML, CSS and web development tools desired
* Evidence of strong analytical and critical thinking
* Thorough understanding of marketing elements (including traditional and digital marketing such as social media, etc.) and market research methods
* Demonstrable experience in marketing data analytics and tools
* Well-organized and detail oriented
Key Responsibilities:
* Brand Development & Strategy:
* Lead the creation and execution of a strategic marketing plan that strengthens the school's brand across multiple channels.
* Ensure all marketing materials reflect the school's mission, vision, and core values.
* Develop metrics to track and measure the success of branding initiatives.
* Student and Staff Recruitment:
* Design and implement targeted campaigns to attract diverse students and staff who align with the school's values.
* Coordinate open houses, career fairs, and outreach events to build community awareness.
* Analyze enrollment and hiring trends to adjust strategies as needed.
* Fundraising and Community Engagement:
* Develop marketing campaigns to support fundraising initiatives, including grant applications, donor communications, and events.
* Partner with community stakeholders to promote awareness of the school's impact.
* Collaborate with the leadership team to engage key stakeholders, board members, alumni, families, and community members.
* Content Creation & Management:
* Oversee the creation of print and digital marketing materials, ensuring they align with the school's character traits and branding.
* Manage the school's website and social media presence, sharing impactful stories that showcase belonging, growth, and leadership.
* Collaboration & Communication:
* Work closely with school leadership to align marketing strategies with organizational goals.
* Train and support staff and stakeholders in promoting the school's values through consistent messaging.
* Performs other duties deemed appropriate and assigned by the COO/CFO
Compensation:
