Assists with assessment reporting for external agencies,including Oklahoma State Regents and accrediting bodies. This position reports directly to the Vice Provost.PRINCIPALDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Oversees the Institutional Assessment Plan and, in collaboration with the office of Academic Affairs and Administrative units, determines a common timetable for assessment stages.
  • Assists departments and divisions with retention by supporting local assessment efforts and helping to ensure those assessment efforts include retention measures.
  • Collects and maintains a library of assessment methodology, ideas, and materials and builds and maintains a pool of current resources and information about national assessment issues.
  • Maintains a comprehensive institutional assessment database and reports on Institutional assessment activities as requested/appropriate.
  • Works closely and collaboratively with the Office of Academic Affairs and non-academic student support units to ensure Institutional Assessment efforts are on-going, comprehensive, and strategic in nature by overseeing, supporting, reviewing, and tracking campus-wide assessment initiatives.
  • Responsible for compilation and posting of Annual Student Assessment Report.
  • Develops End of Instruction (student course evaluation) reports each semester. End of Instruction reports are submitted to the Executive Team within 30 days of the end of each semester. Reports are informative in nature and provide insight into areas of strengths and weaknesses intended to assist institution leadership in decision planning.
  • Functions as administrative head of course evaluations.
  • Seeks ways to promote student completion of course evaluations each semester with the intent to increase completion rates.
  • Actively contributes to the Institution's effort including the preparation for, and follow-up to, the process of reaffirmation of accreditation.
  • Serves as a principal staff member in management and support of the HLC Assurance web site, the institutional Self-Study and its committees.
  • Guides and provides general support to the institutional departments for the collection and archiving of accreditation related evidence.
  • Leads the Assessment Committee and serves on the Curriculum Committee and others as needed and/or desired.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor's degree from anaccredited university required; master's degree preferred.
  • Experience with programmatic and/orinstitutional accreditation process highly preferred.
  • Prior work experience in a highereducation setting preferred.
  • Computer programming/coding knowledgepreferred.
  • Demonstrated history of ethical and professional behavior.
  • Ability to useanalytical and critical thinking skills to interpret written policies andprocedures.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in computerapplications, including databases and spreadsheets.
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills.
  • Ability tomanage multiple priorities imposed by frequent deadlines, peak workloads,and public/student contact.
  • Ability to makeappropriate recommendations based on logical and justifiable reasoning.
  • Strong proficiency in organization and planning.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritizeeffectively with high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • High degree of initiative to work independentlyand also collaborate in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of office technologiesincluding but not limited to: office computers, fax machines, scanners,internet, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Passion for assistingcustomers and representing the OSUIT and OSU brand with positivity andprofessionalism.
  • Must be proficient ininformation technology mediums to include word processing, database,spreadsheets, and specialized software packages.
  • Stronginterpersonal skills and ability to communicate diplomatically, clearly,and effectively, both verbally and in writing to exchange information,give/receive instructions and respond to inquiries appropriately with allstudents, faculty, staff and community partners.
  • Valid Oklahoma driver'slicense will be required if performing the functions of the positionrequires the use of a personal or university vehicle.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours to include some nights and weekends.
  • Work will be performed in an office environment with a significant amount of public contact, in person, by telephone, via email, and various communication platforms.
  • Travel may be required.
