Position Overview The Director of Supply Chain provides overall management and strategic leadership of Materials Management Program throughout the facility and affiliated service lines. Responsibilities
- Responsible for facility-wide oversight of the compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards associated with Materials Management, budgetary duties and fiscal performance of the Supply Chain Program, leadership of Supply Chain team members, resource development and implementation, and measurement, reporting and audit of Supply Chain of Performance Metrics
- Develops internal and external growth initiatives in coordination with the facility's strategic growth initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field is required
- Academic course work emphasis in accounting, management, and data processing is strongly preferred
- Five (5) years of Supply Chain and/or Central Supply experience in a healthcare setting is required
- Supervisory and/or leadership experience is strongly preferred
- Must have some advanced mathematical ability as it relates to healthcare volumes (i.e. cc, mg) and bulk purchasing and needs calculations
- Demonstrates advanced computer literacy and ability to utilize Purchasing applications
- Demonstrates critical thinking and creative vendor evaluation to ensure supplies are available based on facility need
- Understands the correlation of the Supply Chain function in the delivery of quality patient care and the ability to provide continuous services
