Position Summary:
As a Director of Back-Office, you will be leading the department within Services Operations dedicated to executing Major Correctives, Blade inspections and Repairs, including a Services Resources Pool. Major Correctives are considered Major Components replacements using lifting equipment (cranes) and major components repairs up tower such a Gearbox or a Generator.
You will be responsible for the Major Correctives Area, the Blades Services Area and the Services Resources Pool. Your department will be responsible for planning, defining, and executing specialty work on different sites in the US and Canada. In addition to managing your own projects, you will drive and improve new methods and solutions for Major Correctives and Blade Repairs and optimize existing concepts.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure all projects meet or exceed Nordex HSE legal requirements.
- Develop and execute the Company's North American business strategies as it relates to Services third party transactional work.
- Develop and implement business plans to facilitate and achieve cost effective operations activities.
- Ensure company policies and legal guidelines are communicated and adhered to.
- Communicate and maintain trustworthy relationships with business partners.
- Oversee the financial performance of all transactional/product remediation activities.
- Delegate responsibilities and supervise the work of managers.
- Analyze problematic situations and occurrences and provide solutions.
- Follow up on deliveries from Engineering and Technical groups.
- Monitor project progress, drafting and distributing periodic progress reports.
- Maintain compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and best practices.
- Support with Budget management for Major Correctives and Blade campaigns.
- Visit project sites, suppliers, and international support groups.
- Regular site audits for Scope, Quality & HSE performance.
- Perform other related duties as required or assigned by Supervisor.

Requirements:
- Degree in technical or engineering field preferred, or 5+ years of equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of supervisory/management experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance and repair of wind turbine composite blade repairs.
- Experience in the Wind Turbines Blade field, blade structural repairs and Major Correctives of 3+ years.
- Proven experience as Manager of other managerial positions.
- Experience in developing strategic business plans.
- Strong understanding of finance and measures of performance.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
- Able to prioritize and respond quickly in fast-paced work environment.
- Proficiency in Spanish is preferred.
- Able to travel 15% to support traveling teams and collaborate with support groups.
- Driving is an essential function of the job. Must possess a full valid driver's license and be insurable under our auto insurance policy.
