Job Description:

- Must have Engineering background (BSME), and a strong operations focus.

- Will oversee Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, and CI

- Product development/engineering/operations experience in polymer/plastics extrusions

-10+ years in manufacturing with STRONG LEADERSHIP

  • Duties to include (not limited to):Collaborate with plant leadership and departments related to planning, organizing and prioritizing plant projects and priorities, including scheduling and planning projects as well as planned maintenance in coordination with Maintenance Manager and Production Scheduling to ensure timeliness of repairs.
  • Provide leadership to project engineering and maintenance staff, including developing training programs to optimize and build technical skills.
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to define preventive maintenance strategies to avoid breakdowns and impacts to production, while also ensuring unplanned equipment breakdowns are addressed appropriately.
  • Ensure appropriate corrective or preventative action plans are in place based on safety, quality and environmental issues
  • Product Innovation - Responsible for assessing emerging trends, conducting product research, exploring technologies, platforms, materials, and opportunities that allow WSC to deliver innovative products to simplify customer experiences.
  • Research, document, and prioritize detailed product requirements to ensure that products meet business needs, performance objectives, and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
  • Drive the product development process from idea to implementation.
  • Ensure technical documentation is updated and maintained to ensure necessary spare parts and consumable inventory relevant to maintenance and project engineering is available.
  • Process Innovation – Responsible for continuous improvements of existing production lines and development of future automated lines focused on Safety, Quality, and Productivity.
  • Ensure development, implementation, and maintenance for best practices and SOPs.
  • Develop and maintain vendor relations.
  • Develop, maintain, report, and improve on capacity, quality, and productivity standards.
  • Set and maintain operational budgets to include staffing requirements.
  • Review and approve supply and material expenditures.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Director on the development of capital expenditure requirements and projections to ensure related projects are implemented on time and on budget.
  • Oversee all Facilities/Structures/Building-related activities.
  • Develop and mentor direct reports to ensure succession needs.
  • Coordinate with Human Resources to ensure recruitment, onboarding, training, evaluating, and discharging compliance.
  • Lead, audit, and support safety programs.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
