This position leads the development and execution of ticketing strategies, including ticket packages and stadium options, to achieve sales targets. The role includes managing and mentoring a ticketing team to consistently meet and exceed sales goals. Additionally, the Director ensures the successful servicing of all team accounts while maintaining strong relationships with corporate sponsors, community partners, and season ticket holders. Providing exceptional customer service in every interaction is a key component of this role, ensuring a positive representation of USL Spokane.USL Spokane fosters a culture of creativity, entrepreneurial spirit, commitment to staff and community engagement and we are looking for someone to help drive forward our mission:To establish the world's preeminent professional soccer club, dedicated to championing our community, athletes, and fans.The Director of Ticketing must be able to work regular shifts during the week and heavy work on the weekends during home games.This position requires flexible hours, extended days, and evenings.This position must be located in Spokane and is an in-person role.Prior experience in ticket sales and leading a sales team.Experience in sports and experience in the Spokane, WA market strongly preferred.Key or Essential FunctionsTo perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the duties listed below.The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to the following:
- Lead and oversee the ticking department staff including, but not limited to:
- Recruit and hire
- Train and assign work
- Direct work and appraise performance
- Reward and discipline employees
- Address complaints and resolve problems
- Ensure staffing requirements are met and continually assess workload and work efficiencies.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of ticketing department.
- Set team and individual sales goals, monitor daily, weekly, and monthly results.
- Research, develop and manage a list of potential new opportunities.
- Build and foster relationships with past, current, and potential new clients.
- Network and build relationships in and around the surrounding region.
- Make sales calls to area organizations and follow up as necessary.
- Create and develop comprehensive proposals and presentations to meet clients' objectives.
- Proactively create opportunities for new business with existing customers.
- Develop annual budgets for all outbound sales revenue areas.
- Responsible for the short and long-term sales objectives and action plans, sales goals and oversee the effectiveness of those plans toward meeting overall goals.
- Assist in development and implementation of season ticket sales plans designed to meet annual goals.
- Develop policies and procedures for the ticket and group sales executives.
- Set appointments, show seats, and give facility tours with the intent to close business.
- Represent the organization at in-house facility events and off-site community events promoting ticket sales and the organization.
- Maintain records of all customers and prospects by utilizing CRM tool.
- Coordinate with other departments to organize and implement large theme nights.
- Work diligently to build and strengthen relationships with corporate partners, media, fans and community.
- Enhance and generate revenue through ticket package and group sales.
- Responsible for servicing and customer retention, directing the implementation of sponsorships and contract fulfillment, and providing excellent customer service and care to all customers and prospects.
- Work collaboratively with the front office team to achieve the objectives of the marketing, ticketing, sponsorships, game day teams.
- Execute group contracts and deliver tickets to group customers.
- Collaborates with Club President to ensure clear expectations on level of autonomy and reporting or approval procedures.
- This position must be able to work flexible hours which may include extended days, nights, weekends, holidays, and overnights due to travel.
Game Day Responsibilities:
- Oversee the Corporate Sales.
- Manage suites and related areas.
- Assist with client and fan entertainment as needed.
- Assist with promotional execution as needed.
- Assist other departments when necessary.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, communications, marketing, sports management, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years prior sales and/or ticket office experience preferred. Sports sales experience preferred.
- Previous experience managing and leading a sales department.
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check including a motor vehicle report.
- Ability to pass SafeSport training
- Possess and maintain a current and valid driver's license and maintain legally required insurance.
- A combination or accumulation of applicable work-related experience and/or education may be recognized as sufficiently meeting the requirements based upon educational programs and specific experience.

- Exempt position with a range of $85,000 - $104,000
- Eligible for annual discretionary bonus
- Unlimited vacation policy and 10 days sick leave annually (prorated first year of employment)
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance provided with a 75% employer contribution for employee premiums.
- 50% employer contribution for dependent/spouse medical, dental, and vision.
- Employer paid employee life insurance and AD&D.
