Job Description:
Under general direction, with considerable latitude for independent judgment and initiative, develops, plans and establishes training, educational and developmental programs in order to enhance skills, remedy deficiencies, upgrade human resources and meet forecasted skill requirements of the facility. Manages and administers the day-to-day activities of the training and engagement section including planning, supervision, coordination, control and direction of the training and engagement section/group. Additionally, will plan, organize, and coordinate programs, and develop and implement initiatives within the Human Resources Department, as well as the facility as a whole, to support employee wellness, retention and engagement.
General tasks and responsibilities will include:
Minimum Qualifications:
1. A Master's Degree with specialization in Personnel Management, Business Administration, Labor Relations, Psychology or Vocational Guidance, and two years of experience in personnel management or personnel administration in a large governmental agency, hospital or healthcare facility or civic organization or business firm employing at least three-hundred employees, one year of which must have been in a responsible administrative or supervisory capacity; or,
2. A Baccalaureate Degree issued from an accredited college or university, and three years of experience as indicated in (1), two years of which shall have been in a responsible administrative or supervisory capacity. (Experience which consists solely of the maintenance of personnel transactions will not be accepted); or,
3. A satisfactory equivalent combination of education and experience.
