The Director provides leadership, administrative and operational support, and complex administrative support for Transfer & Adult Student Learning Support operations to ensure delivery of student success programs and services for transfer students and adult learners. Under supervision and guidance of the Assistant Vice Provost for Learning Support Resources, the Director executes strategic planning, program development and evaluation, supervision of department staff and student workers, if applicable, and budget development and management. Explores grant opportunities to enhance robust services for transfer students and adult learners. Stays abreast of transfer student and adult learner issues, trends, best practices for learning support, adult student learning theory, and college student development. Ensures compliance with institutional policies and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned.Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides strategic planning, program and services development, implementation, and assessment for Transfer & Adult Student Learning Support.
- Develops, plans, evaluates and implements goals, objectives, policies, and procedures for Transfer & Adult Student Learning Support in collaboration with institutional partners.
- Collaborates with Student Success Center colleagues and university departments to ensure optimal resource delivery for transfer students and adult learners.
- Develops success coaching and learning specialist models that enhance success outcomes for transfer students and adult learners.
- Assists Transfer & Adult Student Learning Support team by serving a caseload of transfer and adult learners through success coaching and learning specialist interventions.
- Develops and implements plans to market awareness of Transfer & Adult Student Learning Support to transfer students and adult learners with guidance and assistance from Marketing Services.
- Oversees the collection, compilation, and analysis of data and the preparation of a variety of complex reports, statements, and communication in conjunction with the Office of Institutional Research and Effectiveness.
- Supervises employees, prioritizes and assigns work, and conducts performance evaluations. Makes hiring, training, and disciplinary recommendations. Provides leadership and team development for staff.
- In conjunction with the Assistant Vice Provost for Learning Support Resources, directs budget development and execution. Oversees assigned budgets and monitors internal systems for compliance with fiscal policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Participates in university, divisional, and Student Success Center committees as directed by the President, Provost, Assistant Vice Provost for Learning Support Resources, or by expressing interest to serve.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Education, English, Adult Education, Higher Education Administration, or related field; and
- Five (5) years' experience in higher education in a supervisory role
