The Position: As the Director of Urgent Care Services, you will be an integral member of the Strategic Growth Team at CareVet. You will collaborate closely with the Operations Team to facilitate new urgent care launches and provide guidance and support to our veterinary hospitals that offer urgent care services. The primary objective of this role is to grow and strengthen the Urgent Care Services business line across our network of veterinary hospitals.Our ideal candidate will cultivate exceptional teams, have a strategic mindset, strong operational acumen, a sense of readiness to address areas of opportunity, and the ability to influence others in a positive way.Job Responsibilities:
  • Drive new Urgent Care pilots across the CareVet network and ensure smooth launches.
  • Model CareVet's mission and culture to our hospital teams and clients.
  • Work closely with Talent Acquisition Team to drive interest in both Veterinarian and Team Member job postings in advance of new launches.
  • Conduct routine visits to CareVet locations that currently offer or are considering offering Urgent Care Services.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Financial Operations Teams to understand financial reports, including profit & loss statements, to identify successes and areas of opportunity.
  • Partner with Operations Team to identify and execute revenue driving and cost saving initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Marketing Team to drive new client acquisition and community awareness.
  • Foster positive workplace culture through encouraging mindful hiring and coaching techniques.
  • Provide guidance on workflow to ensure efficient and safe operations.
  • Execute top quality Urgent Care Services, including exceptional client service.
  • Monitor and ensure federal, state, and local compliance for Urgent Care Services.
  • Promote safe workplaces and facilitate appropriate repairs in a timely fashion.
  • Approximately 50% travel is expected.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
Physical Demands:
  • Lifting up to 40 pounds
  • Sitting, standing, walking
  • Exposure to animals, animal waste, and disinfectants
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field
  • At least 2 years' experience as a Manager or Director of Operations in a veterinary urgent care setting is required.
  • Residence in the Midwest/Central region of the US is highly preferred.
  • Strong operational acumen
  • Top-notch verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks independently
  • Team-oriented and possesses the skills to cultivate a team-based culture
